Joy days 3-9 yes, I am behind

You know I really think I have a serious problem guesstimating on how long things will take. I thought I might be down just a few days for my surgery-what could go wrong? Well-lots. But trust me you don't want to know all the gory details. Suffice to say, I am back-clear minded and virtually without much pain. YEAH!! So today I am glad to finish my week's work in school. I was very worried that I wouldn't finish on time. Beside one low grade,grrr... I am happy. But complications from surgery could have affected that test, right?
Getting back your clarity of thought makes all the difference in the world. I did miss my open house for school and I know many people had questions that Chuck couldn't answer. What does one do? I had to have the surgery. The surgeons told us that there was more to clean up once they opened me up. The completely understood all my pain and I why I couldn't stand upright. Now I can :)

So I want to make a list for the last few days that brought me joy or comfort:
  1. The ability of stand upright!!
  2. Getting off the hardcore pain pills!
  3. Having the surgery-I really needed it.
  4. Having such faithful friends pray for me, especially on some dark days. Love you guys!
  5. Having AWESOME nurses. I never had great nurses before. The were very kind and caring not only to me, but to Chuck, too.
  6. Having my son home from CA. We missed him so much!
  7. Getting my college work finished on time and bit early even though I was down four days.
  8. Watching True Grit with my family tonight-such a good movie.
  9. Being able to sleep on my side!! (though not in my bed)
  10. Being able to blog without stress
I didn't take the time to take any pictures other than Chuck took one of my stapled back.  But that picture won't leave his phone. He has no desire to see Jesus quite yet. :) In so many ways the last week has been one of purging of many things, most of them all good for me.
